Electrical Controls

Electrical controls are an essential component of any production line whether it be in a food, pharmaceutical or warehouse distribution application. Additionally, controls communication between line equipment/operating cells and upstream/downstream equipment is almost a foregone conclusion in today’s manufacturing environments.

Engineered Packaging Solutions has the ability to design, develop and implement an electrical controls package to handle applications from the simplest “stand-alone” conveyor drive to complete line integration of all secondary packaging equipment – everything from the filler or case erector to the palletizer. From the simplest “dry-contact” interface to complete EtherNet/IP networks we can design a controls system to fit your exact requirements and budget.

Motion Control

From a simple manual motor starter to state-of-the-art VFD’s, “Vector” drives and servos, EPS has the expertise to not only integrate these products into your production line but also help select the proper level of sophistication for cost-effective line control solutions.

Controls Flexibility/Connectivity

Whether your system relies on a single operator station or is networked to a main frame, EPS “talks-the-talk”. We understand communication networks based upon “dry contact interface”, DH-485, DH+, ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP and utilize Remote I/O nodes to maximize control efficiencies and costs.

HMI Design

If the heart of the electrical controls package is the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) then the soul is the operator interface or HMI. Using traditional push buttons/selector switches, Allen Bradley’s Panelview, Bosch’s IndraControl, Seimens’ Simatic, or Wonderware touchscreen interfaces, EPS can custom design the HMI to suit any environment or application. Safety

Nothing is as important as controls safety. From selecting the correct class of enclosures to insuring the safety of operators and maintenance personnel, EPS can implement the latest “safety circuit” technologies and overload protection to protect your most valuable assets – your co-workers. UL and CSA panels are available.
